The library is located in the Eagle Municipal Building, on Hwy. NN, on the eastern edge of the Village of Eagle.The library shares the building with the offices of the Town and the Village of Eagle.
Alice Baker Library is a member of the CAFE Cooperating Libraries of Waukesha County.
F.A.B.L.E., the Friends of Alice Baker Library, meets at 7:00 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month. New members are always welcome. For more information on F.A.B.L.E., please call the library.

Library Cards

  • Library card application.
  • Library cards may be issued to individuals fourteen years of age or over. Proof of address is required.
  • Children under fourteen may apply for a library card with a parent's or guardian's permission and signature. An applicant should be of at least kindergarten age and be able to sign his or her name.
  • Alice Baker Library cards are honored at all CAFE libraries in Waukesha County.
  • Need library Internet privileges? Applicants must read this policy and sign and bring this form to the library. Internet use applicants under 18 years of age need a parent's or guardian's signature on the form. All Internet users at Alice Baker Library must have accounts in good standing--free of all overdues and fines. Internet policies at other area libraries may differ.

Loan Periods

  • Books and Audios--3 weeks
  • Videos, DVDs, Magazines, Toys/Puppets--1 week
  • Two renewals are permitted, unless item holds exist.

Interlibrary Loan

Alice Baker Library is happy to request items from outside the Cafe System. Wiscat, the statewide catalog, makes it simple to research and request interlibrary loan items, and libraries around the state are cooperative lenders.
Occasionally, items may be obtained from outside Wisconsin. Interlibrary loan items may take longer to arrive--from two weeks to a month or longer. Occasionally, interlibrary loan items may be restricted to in-library usage only.

Overdue and Fine Policies

  • A 72 hour grace period is observed on items belonging to Alice Baker Library, then fines are calculated from the first day overdue. No grace period is granted for Browsing Items or for Interlibrary Loan Items. Interlibrary Loan items are those obtained from outside the CAFE system.
  • Adult books, magazines, and audios checked out on adult cards--fine is $.15 per day. Maximum $10.
  • Adult videos and DVDs checked out on adult cards--fine is $.50 per day. Maximum $10.
  • Children's books, magazines, toys/puppets, and audios checked out on children's cards--fine is $.05 per day. Maximum $2.
  • Children's videos and DVDs checked out on children's cards--fine is $.05 per day. Maximum $2.
  • All Interlibrary Loan items--fine is $1 per day.
  • The overdue and fine policies of other Waukesha County public libraries may differ.
