Programs for Adults<\/strong>
The library offers many programs for adults, from guest speakers to book discussion groups. All programs are held in the Eagle Municipal Building unless indicated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

F.A.B.L.E.’S Friday Morning Coffee Hour
<\/strong>Stop in the library for coffee, a treat, and conversation between 9 – 11 am on Fridays. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cribbage<\/strong>
There is a new group playing Cribbage on Fridays in the Eagle Municipal Building from 10:00 am – 12:00 p.m. Please bring a cribbage set if you have one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mah Jongg<\/strong>
Stop by the Eagle Municipal Building on Fridays from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. to play Mah Jongg. Beginners and experienced players are welcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GARDENING WEBINARS with gardening expert and author Melinda Myers<\/strong> (virtual)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can have a landscape that you and the pollinators will enjoy with a few changes to your garden and landscape maintenance. We\u2019ll cover pollinator-friendly plant care to keep your containers, gardens and landscape healthy and looking its best throughout the year. Then we\u2019ll explore ways to manage weeds, diseases and insect pests without chemicals that are harmful to your plants and visiting pollinators.

Lunch and Learn: Maximize Your Medicare Benefits!<\/strong>
Wednesday, May 27 from 12:00 – 1:15 p.m.
Feel free to bring your lunch or a snack.
Learn more about your Medicare options! This presentation will provide an overview of Medicare Parts A,B,C, and D as well as supplemental insurance and an explanation of how they all fit together. The program will also include information about Medicare’s annual open enrollment period (October 15 – December 7) and an explanation of how to use and understand the plan comparison tool on Medicare’s web site: www.medicare.gov.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Important information will be shared about special programs for Medicare beneficiaries with limited income that may help them pay their Medicare costs (Medicare Savings Plans) and also help pay for their Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage (“Extra Help”).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remember, the better informed you are, the better decisions you can make.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stitching a Nation: The Life of Betsy Ross<\/strong>

In her captivating portrayal of Betsy Ross, historical presenter Michelle Gibbons brings to life the spirited seamstress credited with creating the first American flag. Gibbons embodies Ross’ determination and patriotism, recounting her pivotal role in stitching together a symbol of unity for the fledgling nation. Through engaging storytelling, she highlights Ross’ contributions during the Revolutionary era, emphasizing the flag’s enduring significance as a beacon of freedom. Weaving historical facts with vivid anecdotes, audiences will be transported to 1776 Philadelphia, where Ross’ needlework became a cornerstone of American identity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Join us as we celebrate America’s Sesquicentennial by reflecting on Betsy Ross’s legacy as a symbol of creativity and patriotism. Light refreshments will be available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is an all ages program supported by Bridges Library System. Mark’s performance consists of an amusing combination of comedy and object manipulation. He uses props such as yo-yos, tops and juggling equipment, as well as nontraditional performing props like a mousetrap, in a fun and witty style for a show that can be enjoyed by anyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
